Inside the Relief Canyon ADR plant

Firstgold is presently engaged in full scale production activities at its Relief Canyon mine. Throughout 2007 and 2008, the company erected a new crusher system and completely overhauled its process plant. In November 2008, the company began crushing material from the existing heap leach pads and stacking this material on a new 900,000 square foot heap leach pad. The application of cyanide solution commenced on January 30, 2009, with gold product anticipated by mid February.

The process plant is capable of handling 2 billion gallons of fluid per year and processing 7 million tons of ore.
